University Center Tejas Lounge & Lonestar Ballroom
March 29-30

Wednesday - March 27 - Pizza Night (Anchor Ballroom)
7:00 PM - 9:00 PM Students get access to training videos and Modo Lab sandbox to practice using the Modo Labs app development tool (sandbox will be wiped before the competition begins on Friday, March 29).

Friday - March 29
5:00 PM - 5:30 PM Doors open and team sign-in
5:30 PM - 6:00 PM Welcome address and presentation about the Modo ideathon
6:00 PM - Students start building
7:00 PM - Dinner is served
10:00 PM - Students and staff are dismissed

Saturday -  March 30
9:00 AM - 10:00 AM Doors open and Breakfast is served
9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Students continue building on-site
12:00 PM Lunch is provided
5:00 PM - Sandboxes access is restricted and students prepare to present
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Student presentations, judging and awards.

Challenge Teams

Ideathon 2019 TAMU-CC will host up to 15 teams comprising of 2-5 team members.
If you are interested in participating but do not have a team, apply anyways and we will  match you to a team.  Team registration has closed Monday, March 18, 2019 at 5PM.Register Your Team!
Selected teams will be notified by 5PM on Wednesday, March 20th
.

Challenge Theme: Sustainability on campus
Challenge/Problem: There’s nothing on campus that encourages us or teach us how to recycle
Solution: an app that educates and encourages our campus community to recycle
User: all students
Brainstorm: where to take bottles on campus, where to take boxes and cans, tips of how to reuse bottles and cans, etc.

Participating Universities

The winning app from each school will be eligible to win a $10,000 national prize to be announced at Modo’s Kurogo Conference at MIT in 2019.
